nice new birch tree blowdown made for a good crossing..couldn't be placed any better |

saw more irene wind damage here than other places..numerous blowdowns on Dicey freshly cut out..there are several leaners along upper Dicy and Rollins that will be a nuisance in winter..one large blowdown mass on Cutoff trail...notified WODC |

nice day out..Dicey Mill footbed excellent...numerous large blowdowns have been cleared in a great job by trail crew. Crossing was fine..easy sailing to summit where spitting snow and gusty winds mad eme glad to have fall pants on today. Trip across Rollins uneventful..several dead falls and blowdowns hung up across the trail but no issue today. Ledges dry on descent. A whole series of new stairs above Wonalancet outlook...very nice. This trail is in so much better shape that it used to be.. Cut off trail dry with great footing |
