| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of parking at Lincoln Woods. Fee area. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Ice - Blue, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular |
| Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes, Light Traction |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Crossings were straightforward, with snow/ice bridges or rockhoppable. One bridge on Lincoln Woods Trail is still signed as closed by USFS. I think everyone is ignoring that sign. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
No major issues. A few easily negotiated blowdowns here and there. The usual face slapping boughs on Bondcliff Trail (the mile or so below Bondcliff) not so noticeable, either because they have been trimmed or because the snow level is lower. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
No dogs seen today |
| Bugs: |
None (except maybe snow fleas) |
| Lost and Found: |
! Found a bag of stuff atop Bondcliff. If it's yours, please ID to pxxxxxcranexxx at xxxmountxxxwashingtonxxxx dot xxx org xxx (remove x's) |

Very straightforward travel to Bondcliff today. Worn microspikes quite adequate on the hard packed snow, sometimes with a little packed powder over it, sometimes with water ice present. Carried hillsounds, crampons, and snowshoes - none of which were called for today. New snow, a thaw, or a thaw and refreeze will change things. Bare rock atop Bondcliff; some folks reported awkward rock/ice/snow between Bondcliff and Bond (in the open area). Hillary Step not fully filled in, but seemed scramble-able; some hikers had used a bypass. Met 7 people on southbound Bonds Traverses, 3 doing an out and back to the Bonds, and a few others. |
