 | Comments: |
Perfect winter day, wind was almost non-existent. Snowshoes out and back from hut, micros to summit. Trail packed down at lower elevation, but the several inches of fresh snow from the last few days was unconsolidated at the higher elevation. Many people on the trail today, mostly in micros. Trail to summit mostly bare dry rock with intermittent snow and ice patches, could easily have been bare booted.
Met Floki the cat on the descent (Floki is hiking the 48-4ks).
Thank you to Flokiās owner for retrieving and delivering a dropped clothing article. It would have been sadly missed.
