Comments
Comments: Excellent late morning hike of these two peaks. i wore snowshoes to Waumbek and back to Starr King but easily could of used just micros today. Micros made the most sense descending as there are substantial stetches of softening blue ice throughout from Starr King down. Trail is hardpacked. Started in light snowshowers with clearing skies at viewpoint beyond the summit of Waumbek. There were several branches small tree tops that had fallen im guessing last night im the wind. i removed as many as possible from the trail. mostly above mentioned blowdowns remain. i crossed paths with 8 others enjoying this late winters day
