Comments
Comments: The road walk to the trailhead was pretty well packed. For about the first mile or so of the actual trail the snow was minimal depth. We barebooted the road and the part of the trail up to about 2400 ft, where we then switched to snowshoes for the rest of the day, until we got back down over the three water crossings.

The last 0.2 miles to the summit is steep, but all the rocks are filled in with snow. We managed to make it up and down in snowshoes without slipping too much on the fluffy snow.

Winds at the summit had died down by the time we got there, allowing us and others to enjoy the spectacular views! The summit area itself is down to a lot of bare rock with some snow in areas.

Most folks were wearing snowshoes today, but a handful were just wearing spikes. I’m sure none of this will matter after Sunday’s rain.
