Comments: This report won't mean much with the upcoming rain and warmer weather, but as of today ...

A group of three started before I arrived and broke out the entirety of Centennial Trail. Thank you! Snow was pretty soft and since this trail is mainly south-facing, it was a bit sticky. Lots of rocks, bare ground, and open water down low. Not too much in the way of ice. I wore snowshoes round-trip.

When I reached the ridge, I was surprised to see that a snowmobile had ridden Mahoosuc Trail down to the ledges on Hayes. It didn't come up from the Gorham side and it didn't come from further north on Mahoosuc; no idea how it got up there. Unfortunately, this thoughtless rider damaged trees and ran over low scrub in their quest for fun. Not cool.

Fortunately, the "increasing clouds" part of the forecast held out until later in the day so views were excellent from the ledges.

It doesn't look like Mahoosuc Trail from Rt. 16 has seen any foot traffic in quite some time.
