Comments
Comments: Apparently we didn’t get the memo that a foot of fresh powder had fallen and not a bit of it was tracked out. We slogged up to bondcliff, breaking trail the entire way. There were drifts near the summit that were nearly chest deep. After reaching bondcliff, it was about a mile of wind blown alpine area with bare rocks and ground. We got to repeat the pleasure of breaking through chest deep snow drifts on the ascent to Bond. At this point, two guys who had been following us caught up to us, but turned around because we hadn’t yet broken the trail out to West. We continued on through more thigh deep snow, making our way to West Bond. At this point, we hiked back the way we came and it was much faster going. It is now pretty nicely tracked out for any hiking tomorrow. No one had come from Zealand.
