The crossing right by the trailhead is impassable if you want to keep your feet dry. I found a spot where it was mid-calf deep and forded across. |

Broke out Sawyer Pond and Brunel trail to Owl's Cliff. Other part of Brunel trail heading to Tremont is unbroken. There is probably about a foot of light powder, and you could get away with spikes if you really wanted to without postholing. There is a middle bit about a mile long that coincides with a snowmobile trail that is very nice and packed down. |
