 | Comments: |
3-4 inches of new snow on a solid base with deeper drifts near the summits. I wore snowshoes start to finish as did 2 of the 3 others I saw. There is some decent ice at the upper end of Fishin' Jimmy Tr that requires some care to cross especially on the descent. I broke out the spur to the upper and lower ledge on North Kinsman as well as Kinsman Pond Tr to the shelter/pond. One other person had come up Mt Kinsman Tr. She said the parking lot was unplowed but had no trouble getting in. Kinsman Ridge Tr north and south of the Kinsmans, Kinsman Pond Tr, Cascade Brook Tr, Around Lonesome Lake Tr, Dodge Cutoff, and Hi Cannon Tr were all unbroken.
