Comments
Comments: Conditions on KRT overall were Great for snow shoes, saying this there were plenty of areas of blue ice dusted by a few inches of snow so care in secure footing is a must . I wore snow shoes to pack down the trail and also used crampons ( 8 inch) on some thin areas with blue ice at lower elevation. Above treeline the winds were blowing, trail had plenty of areas of drifting so snow shoes floated on through. More snow coming in tonight will shape up and cover the trail nice. Cold and windy one today !! Great hike with great company.
