Comments
Comments: The trail was groomed Saturday night, so the road walk was quick and relatively easy. The trail was well-packed. NOTE: quickly into the start, the *new* trail turns left and uphill away from the river. Some people went straight on the old trail. That trail has been retired due to degradation, so keep an eye open for the left turn and please be sure to use it. It just brings you a little higher and away from the water, but it isn't any longer.

11 people hiked the trail on Sunday. 7 in snow shoes, 4 bare booting (microspikes). Either seemed fine. The trail is pretty solid, there was a little billowing snow on the ridge.

We bumped into Shelly and Josh (whom I know I've met before but we couldn't figure out where), plus two trail runners in their 20s who looked like elves gliding over the snow.

Gentle reminder, please take off your traction before going up the tower in order to spare the wood on the steps and the platform.

Excellent trail conditions at the moment. Enjoy!
