Comments
Comments: Basically good conditions, nothing dangerous or icy. The trail is basically a mix of a minor amount of loose unconsolidated snow over a base of bullet proof snow. TBH, snowshoes make life easier because it's like walking in beach sand. But, you aren't going to really make a mess if you skip them- you'll just get judgement ;-) (kidding, you do you unless we have a foot of snow!) Based on today's conditions, none of the hikers up before us knew where the summit was. Snowshoes DID come in handy then. Not a bad day on Cabot. You always know what you are going to get (a long ok walk in the woods....) We saw 6 others out today, all in snowshoes too (escaping judgment!!!)
