Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Small parking lot was not plowed and had several inches of powder when we arrived at 830. Only one other car in the lot - someone who overnighted at the cabin. We parked in the lot anyways with my Audi and made it back out without issue. We did have a shovel Incase.

Comments
Comments: We had our first opportunity to break trail today. Lucky us! Arrived at 830 to an unbroken trail and decided to go for it. Snowshoes the whole way up and back. The snow depth was about 4-5 inches of powder at lower elevations and knee high drifts as we approached the junction to carriage road. We finally made it to the junction and we’re greeted by tons of skiers! I was happy we were done breaking trail but I was surprised to see so many skiers. We encounter less hikers today than skiers which I can say is a first for me.
The open summit had several large ice patches and was quite chilly with the wind. We quickly did the .9 miles to reach the summit and were happy to drop back down out of the wind.
On our way back down we encounter about 15 hikers coming up Glenncliff - mostly snowshoes but a few in spikes.
Arrived back to a full parking lot at 2pm feeling good about our trail breaking experience.
