Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found a microspike and hung it on a tree. By the time we descended, it was gone. Hope it was reunited with its owner!

Comments
Comments: Low wind and gorgeous blue skies today! Wore snowshoes out and back to try and help pack down the trail. One person in our group switched to spikes about half way down. Carried Grivel G10 crampons and maybe could have switched to them but opted not to.

KRT was light, fluffy powder over sheets of ice. Some ice sections required careful maneuvering. On the way down, we had to sit and slide a few times. MSR snowshoes were sufficient going up. Only a couple of spots of really tricky ice. The snow from last night is very powdery and slippery over ice.

Saw a number of people wearing spikes today and other types of much smaller traction. One group that we saw turned around due to insufficient traction - and a great call by them! Trail could use more love from folks in snowshoes until a good freeze occurs.
