We were excited to see a set of tracks this morning but they veered off just before the bridge over the gale river on the road so assuming that person whacked to the Peak Above the Nubble. We broke trail from there to the top of South Twin, and then ran into tracks. Sadly Postholio came across the ridge from Haystack Rd and chewed up the trail. We returned to the hut via South Twin and met the only person we saw all day. She broke a bit of the Frost trail and we finished the job. Just a few inches of snow down low today but 6-8” from the Garfield Ridge onward and deeper drifts between the Twins. Trail is broken but definitely not packed so still snowshoe time. |
