Comments
Comments: 3 guys in front of me for the first 1.5 miles, but all in spikes, so basically I was breaking trail all the way to middle Tripyramid. A guy that I met near the Scaur junction (as I was coming down cause I chickened out, but then decided to go back up once I had company) did break the last .2 miles up to Middle which was MUCH appreciated! Not sure why anyone wouldn't bring snowshoes after a snowfall like yesterday, but hey... Hard, blue ice still hanging out under the power, but not too bad going up. Coming down was a bit slidey, however. Changed to spikes for the steep bit just before crossing the river for the first time coming down, but it didn't help. Otherwise it was a perfect day. Blue skies and low winds made for a comfortable outing!
