Comments
Comments: Trail was really good and safe for the first 1.5 miles. Fast going in snowshoes. After Ethan Pond Trail breaks off to the left, the trail began to get dicey with large patches of ice obscured by snow. We bailed at the ladders- we had no plans of hiking over to Crawford Depot, and coming down would have been sketch. We contemplated what gear choice would work- and really thought it was a legit place for crampons. The thaw/freeze/rain mess has not done this section any favors, which is not unexpected.
