Lots of fresh powder (approx 12") but not difficult trail breaking. The Engine Hill bushwhack wasn't broken out so we opted for the Rocky Branch cutoff closer to the stream. Hiked up to the Iso Express Crossing and broke out Iso Express with Josh and McCala who we met along the way. Actually, Josh broke out the route and we told him more or less where to go. Came in a little high on the whack but course-corrected toward the end. Then popped up to the summit for gorgeous bluebird views. Only saw a half-dozen other hikers all day. Snowshoes car-to-car. |
