(AKA Acorn Hill; the trail names above come from the official UVLT trail map of the property.)
The bare summit of this hill has just received a haircut to reclear its spectacular views, which were extra beautiful today in the bright sun. As somewhat expected, I ran into UVLT Stewardship Director Jason Berard who was up there removing the "trail closed" signs now that the work is complete.
Trails were a mix of ice, packed snow, and bare ground. Pretty much anything in the direct sun, including the summit, was clear. This will of course change with the incoming storm. |
