Piper Trail and Mt. Swett Trail
This was hard pack and well-traveled with lots of icy sections from melting snow. Not many post holes at all and much smoother than I thought. It was very passable with microspikes but dangerous without so be sure to wear them. The snow on the sides was very crusty so it was easy to walk on the sides if the ice was a concern in a few spots. If it snows at all it makes it hard to see the ice underneath but if not- enjoyable! |
