Bridged, but be careful with the everchanging temps and their effects. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few blowdowns, most easy to step over. Sporadic red blazes. Nice sign at beginning and a helpful one where you turn right. Thanks! |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
One friendly dog. Looks like a good one for them. Water fun! |
|
 | Bugs: |
One tiny spider. |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
Saw a black cap on the way up (I think the guy with the dog dropped it). Had planned on carrying it out, but it was gone when I passed that way again. |

Trail is VERY ICY in spots. You will need traction. In some steep spots there was thick ice covered by a little snow. Conditions reminded me of when I sprained my knee on Waumbek several years ago. Started with snowshoes, but they weren't really necessary and the boot/spike combo gave me a better grip.
Falls were beautiful; not completely frozen, some open spots. Fun to see the water running underneath the ice.
Popular tourist hike. Gave a friendly warning about the icy spots to a few folks. |
