| Comments: |
Blue sky morning and little wind, but chilly evolved to high cloud cover and blustery wind by early afternoon. Roadwalk packed by snowmobiles. Trail is shallow and icy lower down evolving to fast packed surface with many mostly shallow postholes from previous warm days, but a good surface with careful steps. Most including us did microspikes, although a few we passed did snowshoes, which might have been better in upper 500 feet where some loose snow was under foot. Once out on open summit, wicked wind kept stay short, and covered in layers and face covering. Views, of course, extensive, if lacking much snow cover, and grey sky. Nevertheless, a good day by all !
