Comments
Comments: Excellent hard packed and easy to follow trail/bushwacks today. We wore microspikes start to finish with no wear and tear on the snow pack. Our snowshoes went for a ride. About 1/4 to 1/3 of the many hikers wore snowshoes and the rest carried them. Good views in today's partly cloudy sky and winds were tame - about 10 - 15 mph on the peak with some moments of calm too. Great hike on great trail conditions that significantly shortened the normal slog. Hats off to the trailbreakers. There was signs of softening on some sunlight parts on our return, Engine Hill BW, the crossing and some parts of RB. PSA: Someone placed a flag on the fake summit cairn. The true summit is a short distance beyond and to the left - marked with a cairn. 2 of the 3 parties that I mentioned it to on the summit didn't know that.
