Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We avoided the first crossing by doing the road walk to the other side of the bridge. Avoided the other two large crossings by following the broken out tracks up to the former trail on the little ridgeline and then back down.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Couple of blowdowns along the way. Some jabroni shot the map board at the trailhead with what appears to have been a shotgun (3 large holes). Kewl bro, you killed a sign.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Only a couple pups today, they looked like they were having fun.
Bugs
Bugs: The person who shot the map bugs me. So does the person who parked 6 inches from my driver's side door. Trying to live in a society here people.

Comments
Comments: Brought a couple of friends up for their first winter hike in NH, my favorite mountain did not disappoint. Perfect morning up there, no wind, crystal clear sky. Friend #1 used my kathoola microspikes, Friend #2 used my Hillsound Trail Crampons, I used my Hillsound Pros (these broke on me, only my second time using them, not impressed). Shoutout to Eric for the intel on the crossings, we caught them walking out from a sunrise hike, always fun to see the Bad Mutha out there. See notes above on water crossings, at the end of the day we did come back over the crossing right near the trailhead, it was semi sketchy, I'd recommend just skipping it with the short walk across the bridge. Up top was wind blown with some consolidated snow, some icy spots, and plenty of bare rock. A few drifts in the trees just below treeline.
