There is no parking at the trailhead on Starr King Road in winter. Do not try to park there.
Parking is in the lot off of route 2 right next to the gas station. |

A few (maybe 4?) blowdowns on the trail. All were de-limbed or had an established path around them. |

Quite a difference a day makes.
Trail is a rock hard sidewalk. The only exception is the upper part of the trail in the hardwoods before the left turn into the conifers. There’s a section that’s been postholed pretty well by at least one moose.
An inch or so of fresh powder coated the trail on the way down. |
