Comments
Comments: Hancock Notch, Cedar Brook, and most of Hancock Loop trails are hardpacked with a nice wide trail. Postholes are abundant, some several feet deep along the sides of the trails. I wore snowshoes for the entire Loop, though really microspikes are all that is required.Spikes will not chew anything up as the trail is quite solid. Some spots along the ridge were less well packed, and snowshoes are reasonable here, but I would say it is maybe 10% of the ridge that was loose powder, and not deep.
