 | Comments: |
The North Twin Trail is solidly packed and easy to follow. The Firewarden's Trail was a little soft to start with loose snow under a thin, crusty layer. The winds were raging today, so a couple inches of powder had blown over about 60% of the trail. Snowshoes would have been good here, especially up top where there was much more windswept powder. Also, lots of postholes throughout. After walking Haystack Road, I now smell like a snowmobile. |
