With an early start trail was nice and hard packed, we wore spikes until just after the water crossing and then switched to snowshoes. Our tracks from last week were still visible and soon found the start of our bushwack. We mostly followed our tracks through open forest. When we started climbing it still wasn't too bad. Had lunch on the talus field and then the fun began. We had a choice to go right or straight up, and straight up we went. Full body workout. With 6 of us we made a good trail and made the summit. Coming down was faster and we switched back to spikes when arriving at the water crossing. Conditions were great. |
