If you need to hike this peak, do it NOW! The trails and bushwhacks are very well packed down from start to summit. Hiked solo today. I started in snowshoes and hiked about 3-4 miles in them. Everyone coming down was using spikes and encouraged me to do the same. I eventually did switch, although reluctantly, and glad I did. Trail is so packed and solid that I hauled after switching. Only missed the snowshoes on the steep sections (missed having the lifts), but otherwise it was perfection. There's even a cute little snowman on the bushwhack!!
Fat and happy grey jays at the summit kept sitting next to me hoping for a bite of my sandwich! |
