Lucky day for weather - April temps in February. Trail was very sticky in the morning but crisped up by afternoon. Not as chewed up as I had feared from earlier reports but still some mineshafts, especially between Piece and Eisenhower. Enough snowshoers out there to help mend and offset the barebooters. The track about halfway between Eisenhower and Pierce goes off the normal trail but it works. Another great day in the Whites. |
