Left $10 and itinerary for Frans at Seven Dwarves. Beaver Brook XC Ski area well plowed. It should be noted there is a pretty good crater at the entrance to the lot. Don't come in too hot |

A FINE day was in and above Henry's Woods. T shirt weather! This gridded out the trio for me. Trails are very soft as most have mentioned but great throughs throughout Everyone today aside from one anarchist had snowshoes on. Trails should freeze up tonight in prime shape, we had atleast 15 behind us coming out North Twin, all in snowshoes. Thanks to the large AMC group who where true stewards of the backcountry today. We made quick work of Gale River Trail. We ran into hiking and NETC Royalty today near the summit of Galehead. I am not sure if their moniker is meant to be ironic but Worst.Dressed.Hiker was channeling their inner Jaqueline Onassis out there. They ended up joining us to go over the Twins which likely could have been the death of Kiwi and I. There was a small rooster tail coming off their snowshoes. We enjoyed great conversation and stunning views of the Presidentials, Sandwich, Pemi among other familiar friends. The trail out from North Twin as mentioned earlier is really good. The AMC group out and backed for Seven Dwarves. Did note some traffic along GRT to Garfield, as well as rough bust (as in a single set) of Twinway in the directon of Guyot. No evidence of traffic to Hawthorne Falls. Today was a great day for sure! |
