Comments
Comments: This wonderful route is well tracked and well packed. Trails were mostly supportive though the top cover became increasingly soft and sticky as the day wore on. I didn't even take spikes with me, and I never missed them - I wore snowshoes car to car. Of the +/- 15 others I passed I'd say about 2/3 were also wearing snowshoes. Every once in a while, there was a deep posthole off to the side and on the way out some pockmarks from the non-snowshoe crowd were staring to be visible. It seemed to me that those coming up later in the day were all were wearing snowshoes so hopefully they can smooth out any damage done on the way out.

A big thanks to the folks who broke this route out and to those who came after them for wearing snowshoes making this a really nice track. The most difficult part about this hike was how to dress: I just couldn't wrap my head around the fact it was getting into the mid-high 40's here in mid-February so I was pretty warm. When I got to the top there was only a light breeze so I lingered for maybe 20 minutes, however there were heavier winds and gusts before and after summiting - more so after. Nice to run into HE again too.
