Beautiful sunny day to get back at it. Having not hiked for some time due to life, work and Covid, this was a good test to get back at it. Trails were firm late morning but were softening up in the afternoon sun. Most of this route was doable with just spikes but I wore snowshoes round trip. The Hurricane Gap Trail and the South Ridge Trail were fairly soft and the snowshoes proved their worth. Great views and sunny skies made for an awesome afternoon. |
