Parking/Access Road Notes: Plowed parking at the trailhead on Long Pond Rd. The road itself was muddy and fairly slippery.

Trail Maintenance Notes: One large, trimmed blowdown just before the conifer section. Noticed that the "trail" sign where Chippewa Trail leaves the lower logging road in the southbound direction is no longer present.

Comments: This was an attempt in that I only made it as far as the first view ledge due to an issue with one of my snowshoe bindings. In the interest of safety, I turned back here.

Chippewa Trail was in good shape but still soft from the warmer temps. As long as it doesn't get churned up, it should set up well once the cold air returns.
