Comments
Comments: Beautiful skin track on North Twin Trail and Firewarden's. The birch glades are loaded with deep powder.
The herd path to Haystack Road had some significant divots. Skiing has renewed, and if possible, increased my hatred of postholes. The track is relatively packed, but still soft, and even minor divots make it hard to get a rhythm going while skinning. If taking N Twin Tr/Firewarden's please be sure to wear snowshoes, even after the snow may have hardened.
Tracks coming up Hale Brook looked blown in, at least on the summit, but there is a snowshoe trough. Lend-A-Hand looked more recently broken out, but quite unconsolidated.
