Quick evening hike of Cannon. A very nice snowshoe track has been established and was a pleasure ascending. Once above viewpoint the trail was quite obscured by heavy drifting and difficult to follow especially by headlamp. While at summit changing hl batteries i was surpised by a loud barking dog and fellow hiker that had been out on the Kinsmans earlier in the day. it was great briefly chatting and best of luck on your 48!! Highly recommend snowshoes for this hike. On the descent also had a tough time following trail and found an alternative path down. |
