Comments: A beautiful snowshoe track up to Garfield and all the way to Galehead. Easily the most effortless and lovely time I’ve ever had on GRT. Thank you to Mandi, Priscilla & Gwen’s crew yesterday. You created a masterpiece. Twinway to South was untouched but Jim Jorgensen loves a good challenge. With a little help from Josh Brooks he blazed right up that steep sumbitch. Our trail breaking continued to North Twin and we were all set to break trail to Haystack Rd. We got about .2 from the summit of North Twin and….snowshoe tracks! We were surprised and happy and somewhat perplexed. Who would someone come that far only to turn around? Did they think they had reached the summit? Were they too tired to go on? With way, we were stoked and made a quick exit. If you’re going after this route, snowshoes will provide you with the most efficient method of travel at this point. If you’re a postholer this is your dream come true so have at it. 90/SSW115 for my MVP & I.
