Comments
Comments: Lots of skiers skinning up Slippery Brook, some with snowshoes; counted at least 25. Slippery Brook and Baldface knob are packed out very nicely but Eastman trail was unbroken. Took about 45 mins to go the .8 miles to Eastman summit, very exhausting waist/chest high levels of snow. Fortunately from the junction with Slippery Brook/Baldface knob, its only ~ 200 feet of up to Eastman, so its mostly flat. But def harder towards the summit, resulting in several falls into deep snow. Great clear views of South Baldface and views to the east. Took only 15-20 mins on the way back to the junction with Slippery Brook. The trail to North Baldface is unbroken since the last storm. The trail to South Baldface/shelter is also packed out nicely (at least where you turn to Slippery Brook).
