Was first on the trail in the am. Webster-Jackson trail Jackson Branch is pretty well packed down. Went up with snowshoes. I broke out the Webster Cliff trail with snowshoes, and a group of 4 followed me also in snowshoes. It was untouched and waist-deep drifts at times. Hard work! 2 Barebooters followed them. Met a large group(9) on Webster summit that had in the mean time broken out the Webster Branch. They took the Webster Cliff trail to Jackson, further packing it. You will need snowshoes if you go on the Webster Cliff trail, until its had several more flattening passes. Amazing what 2 barebooters can do to a trail thats only recently broken and not fully flattened. :( |
