Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at the Depot. Many cars at 10:00, very few at 3:00

Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All were frozen and snow covered. You wouldn't even know there were any water crossings.

Trail Maintenance Notes: One big tree about 4 feet above the snow as you start the Avalon Spur trail.

Comments: I wear snowshoes the entire day. Only saw two others doing the same, everyone else were in spikes. Trails are well packed, except
there were some knee-deep postholes on Avalon Trail just before the spur trail. You can do it in spikes, but I always figure, this
time of year, you automatically should be wearing snowshoes.
