Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking lot was packed down by vehicular traffic with just a dusting. The dip in the access road to the lot that folks mention was put in as part of the parking lot expansion last year. It is meant as drainage to minimizing the erosion evident before. A little excessive perhaps but hopefully will work. The lot was empty on arrival, one other on return.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A day for trail work to remove a ~10 inch blowdown just beyond the Bald Peak junction previously reported here on NETC. On way up found another, a tree's canopy across the trail with an established walk around just beyond the WMNF boundary. The trail is clear again.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I dropped my phone in the snow while removing the tree canopy, gave up trying to find it and continued up to the upper blowdown. On way back down met the only other person on the trail heading up as I returned to that spot. She called my phone and, surprisingly, it rang. Huge relief, an answer to a prayer.

Comments
Comments: Trail had a ~1" dusting over a packed base due to traffic this past weekend. I wore Hillsounds. Expect this will change with the forecasted snow Saturday.
