Comments
Comments: Trail was well packed out and easy to follow (watch the signs at multiple junctions). Post-holing up to a foot (sometimes more) if stepping off the packed trail. Steeper sections had small kick steps for which microspikes were sufficient traction. Some steep sections had thick ice, which had to be bypassed on short, packed-out detours. Lots of opportunities for butt sledding; however, this made traction more difficult on way up and down due to less snow cover on top of ice. Low wind, beautiful views!
