Beautiful but cold day -20F at the trailhead at the start, 10F at the finish.
Trails are perfect now for snowshoeing and that was our choice of traction for the day. Still a lot of micro-spikers out there (everyone else we saw was carrying their snowshoes) but its probably time to switch it out to snowshoes and build a good foundation to take us to spring. Some minor postholes and drifting across the ridge. Decent ice under the snow on the ups and downs between the peaks. Great day in the woods, little to no wind on the ridge.
