Comments
Comments: For most of 19 mile brook, pretty solidly packed snow that was easy to traverse in snowshoes with some postholes that caused a few minor trip ups. Steady, easy ascent until wildcat ridge trail. Once we got to the junction, pretty steep incline - had to buttslide in some spots on the way down. LOTS of signs of postholing on wildcat ridge trail (and saw a few groups wearing just spikes going up/down). Lots of pretty loose patches of snow as a result, so be careful. Some exposed ice patches here but nothing too crazy, just be aware. Overall the entire hike was definitely doable in snowshoes and would highly recommend people use them instead of loosening up the snow with microspikes.

Very clear day, amazing views at the top. Well worth the trip!
