 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
One car when I got there, but cars filled the small lot and were parked along both sides of the access road when I left. |
|
 | Surface Conditions: |
Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Standing/Running Water on Trail |

 | Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
None really. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails clear and generally wide. The water bars were freshly cleaned. Starr-King has eroded over the years, there's small mud patches and when the vegetation is wet the ferns and grasses in a few places will pass it on to your boots, but there was very little obvious damage from Irene. Kudos to the maintainer. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Easy day for the mighty mutt, although he would have liked more sip 'n dips. Only water is down low so bring it; he drank a lot from a bowl on top. Met Gigi and a few other dogs which made Pepper happy. |

 | Bugs: |
None |

 | Comments: |
One hiker told me we had our priorities straight, get the hike in first and then move on to fix the roof leaks, if there's time. That's how we ended up doing Plan C instead of being on the Twins or Carters with others having a fun hike. We didn't see anyone until well down the trail and then there was a whole slug of them going up. Despite the humidity and sweat they had smiles for Pepper. |
