Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Crossed at all 3 crossings by rock hopping. Made it across with dry feet. Used bypass on the way up. The flooding made the footing on the bypass better.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: It looks like the Forest Service surveyed the trail. There is one spot before the 3rd crossing where the bank is under cut. They have taped off the trail and have directed a short detour (20 foot?) around the undercut area. There were 4 blowdowns on the trail. I cleared 3 of them. The remaining one is an easy step over. Some of the waterbars are completely full of debris that was washed down the slope. The eroded areas of the trail are more eroded. No safety concerns or issues noted other than the under cut bank.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: We hiked with Delilah. She had no problems.
Bugs
Bugs: A few at the trailhead. Not biting.

Comments
Comments: Trail was in much better shape than I expected. The flooding was impressive. In one area, it looked like the firs had been shredded and the smell of Christmas trees was in the air.

It was a great day out with Windy, Whichway, Amy and Delilah.
