Comments
Comments: There was a faint trough to follow all the way from the bridge crossing on up, despite the recent snowfall, and even through the drifted sections, so no route finding issues for us. All five of us wore snowshoes for the entire hike (but not on the bridge as requested by the driveay owner), so there is a really nice snowshoe track the whole way up to Hale summit now. The track follows the classic Fire Warden Trail route the entire way, not shortcutting any of the switchbacks. The snow is such that the track will not suppport bare booting wihtout causing postholes--hope no inconsiderate people trash the track for others by not wearing snowshoes.
