4 down trees on the trail: 1 small (step over), 1 medium (crawl under), 2 huge (bushwhack around) in this order and all well before the steeps. The 2 huge ones are in the section that often floods and has large ice flows (which it has now). |

-12F at the trailhead at 7:45am. -10F at the junction around 10am. Well packed trail but considerable tree carnage everywhere, on and off trail. The winds were insane. Only saw 3 others on the way down. No drifts to speak of anywhere. |
