Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Many blowdowns. Most easy to step over. Get a little trickier towards the peak with one very difficult one near the peak which involved several trees. After attempting to go under, over, and through, I ended up finding a way around to the right if ascending. Many low hanging branches between the peaks.

Comments
Comments: Wore spikes for Haystack Road which was mostly loose granular. Turn right at 3 large boulders onto FR304A. Soon after bear right again to follow bushwhack and herd path the rest of the way. Although the path was mostly packed powder, and one could just wear spikes, I chose to switch to snowshoes once I started ascending for better traction and to benefit from televators. Switched back to spikes after reaching first peak because of the many blowdowns. Most difficult blowdown was just past first peak. Can get around it if you work your way around to the right. Be careful of many low hanging branches between the peaks. My snowshoes were strapped to the back of my pack and got caught on branches several times. Coming back after reaching The Nubble, it was a fast slide in spikes back to Haystack Road.
