Valley Way, Gulfside Tr
Bare-booted the entire way, never felt a real need to put spikes on today. Valley Way is a fast and crunchy delight right now outside of a few ice bulges that always keep you honest. Surprisingly no wind at the hut this morning ~10:45a, everything above tree-line is coated in a thin layer of rime ice that looks icy but is extremely grippy. Socked in on the summit but all-in-all a beautifully tame morning in the northern Presies. |
